I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to buy the full game but never managed to. So, when the PC version became available and I got to review it, I was very excited.

Throughout the game, Jin faces a dilemma: follow the strict samurai code or adapt his methods to save lives.
The game’s narrative feels like an epic movie, though a small downside is that you cannot skip the cutscenes on your first playthrough, which might be annoying if you start the game over. Jin’s story is told in a non-linear way, jumping back and forth in time. This can be interesting as it reveals how Jin learned the ways of the samurai from his uncle but can sometimes make it hard to follow the current events.
One interesting feature is that when you’re about to kill a non-player character (NPC), you have the option to “end suffering,” adding a thoughtful touch to the gameplay.

The game begins slowly but picks up speed as you progress. The main story is captivating, and there are plenty of side quests, though they can become repetitive after a while. The game includes mythical elements, like wind guiding you to your quests, which add to its charm.
Combat is enjoyable and feels realistic, though it might be too easy for experienced players. Even though I’m not very comfortable with mouse and keyboard controls, I managed to defeat many enemies easily on medium difficulty.
